Only four issues of the magazine exist because Ginzburg was indicted under federal obscenity laws following the fourth issue. The publication was art directed by Herb Lubalin; the pair would go on to create fact: (magazine) and Avant Garde Magazine. Eros was a beautifully produced magazine; it was hardbound, measured at 13×10”, used different papers inside, and contained no advertising.
