Holland was born in Glasgow in 1941 and trained at St. Martin’s School of Art from 1965-1969. Since his graduation, he has had over 30 solo exhibitions and participated in countless group exhibitions worldwide. Holland’s paintings are suggestive in the sense that they imply situations, events or relationships that are not directly expressed, filling them with an engaging sense of mystery.
