				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: left;">Jacob van Ruisdael was a Dutch Golden Age landscape painter. He was born in Haarlem, Netherlands in 1628. During his childhood, he most likely received painting lessons from his father in addition to his uncle Salomon van Ruysdael, who was an artist. He is most known for painting natural landscapes as well as cityscapes. In addition to being a practicing artist Ruisdael was also a doctor. Around 1656, he moved to Amsterdam, where he would remain until 1682.</p>
