He was born in Suffolk in 1776, he is most known for his landscape paintings of the area surrounding his home. He believed that he should paint his own surroundings best and that painting is but another word for feeling. Constable is most known for his paintings ‘Wivenhoe Park” of 1816, “Dedham Vale” of 1802 and “The Hay Wain” of 1821. He passed away in March 1837.
