A pioneer of Land Art, he is most known for creating works of art that function outside of the confines of the traditional museum and gallery space. His work “City” has been ongoing since 1972, spans 704,000 acres, and was recently declared a National Monument by President Obama. He currently lives and works in Garden Valley, Nevada.
