Simen Johan

Born in Kirkenes, Norway in 1973, Simen Johan is a Scandinavian artist working in photography and sculpture. He received a degree in Photography, Video, and Film from Lugnetskolan in Falun, Sweden in 1992, and in 1996, he earned a BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York. His lush photographs composite images of wild animals within natural environments, creating otherworldly images. Johan currently lives and works in New York.
