SECRET SPACE
his gaze looks past her window
to a night of white clouds
lit by glowing disaster,
the curious addiction
of his boys skin, an electric anarchy of romance

on the living street, rocks the size of large rooms
fall into elder treetops shattering
into salvation, sparkling
soft plastic explosions, dreams of sex

he bows his head to each neighborhood kid
moving by, he feels in his pocket the evidence
of a girl who grips the hard steel bars of a lovers cage
that can never betray her
and he comes as they worship
in a bed of bliss and matrimony

lights go off,

she waits in a shadow
owned by no one

DARK EYES

the gracious circles have no word for promise
we will not go silently
though our sound is hardly more
than the action of a cool brook
and the dirt leaves trampled
by an innocent dogs euphoria

distant sirens and cop car radios
return us to the master of the city
where i’ve come to kidnap the love of my life
deflowered, born again and veiled
by recordings of Bill Evans as heaven
lays in ambush

A STAB AT HEAVEN
(FERTILITY)

paradise is no solution
fallen leaves calm in color
water drifts without intention
nature’s beasts serenade alerts
rituals clacking and croaking,
the angel’s lonesome experience
…her lover’s endless violence

she brought him here
a dripping blue ticket pasted
to her moist scar
where light escaped
she looks, her eyes his entire
truth and existence
she is a beautiful student,
with instructions, prayers
and sex
