				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: left;">Nino Rota was born in Milan, Italy in December 1911. He was a child prodigy in music, composing an oratorio at the age of eleven. He studied at Rome&#8217;s Santa Cecilia Academy and Philadelphia&#8217;s Curtis Institute. In his career he composed four symphonies, eight operas, numerous film and ballet scores, and concertos. He won an Oscar for his score for The Godfather, Part II. Rota is especially known for his collaboration with the director-composer Federico Fellini, lasting over twenty-five years. Other notable scores include those for Zazà, War and Peace, The White Sheik, La Strada, and Juliet of the Spirits. Rota died in 1979 at the age of 67.</p>
