David Lynch

David Lynch was born in 1946 in Montana. He is a filmmaker, director, visual artist, and musician. His films are characterized by dream imagery and meticulous sound design. Influential films he has made include “Eraserhead (1977)”, “The Elephant Man (1980)”, “Twin Peaks (1990-92”)”, and “Mulholland Drive (2001)”. He has received three Academy Award nominations for Best Director and a nomination for best screenplay. He has twice won France’s César Award for Best Foreign Film, as well as the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival and a Golden Lion award for lifetime achievement at the Venice Film Festival. “Crazy Clown Time”, released on PIAS, is David’s debut album and features vocals from Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
