He, along with Gillo Dorfles, Gianni Monnet, and Atanasio Soldati, founded Movimento Arte Concreta, or the Italian Movement for Concrete Art. He has received numerous awards, including the Japan Design Foundation in 1985 “for the intense human value of his design”, an award from Accademia dei Lincei for his graphic work in 1988, and the ADCI Milan Hall of Fame in Creativity and Communication in 1990. He passed away in 1998.
