Brown began the earlier part of his life studying philosophy and law at both the University of London and the University of Reading. Within a short time, however, he started gravitating more towards music, subsequently forming the band “Blues and Brown.” His single “Fire”, released in 1968, ranked number one in the UK and Canada Singles chart.
