				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: left;">Titled as the &#8220;The white Queen of Soul&#8221;, Dusty Springfield was a British pop  singer, among the most successful both in her time and in history.  Springfield was born in West London, and joined the Lana Sisters in 1958 and then subsequently teamed up with her brother to form &#8220;The Springfields&#8221;.  Her hits include, &#8220;I Only Want to Be with You”, “Wishin and Hopin”, “Son of a Preacher Man”, and various other tracks that went on to top the Billboard Hot 100.  She released, Dusty in memphis in 1969, the result of a move to Memphis, Tennessee to solidify her credibility as a true soul artist.  To date, the album ranks among the greatest albums of all time by Rolling Stone.  Springfield died on March 2, 1999.</p>
