Known as The Byrd’s main songwriter between 1964 and 1966, Clark signed with Columbia Records as a solo artist in 1967 and released the LP Gene Clark with the Gosdin Brothers. He was inducted to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in January of 1991 and passed away later that year.
