Iain Matthews
An English musician and songwriter, Iain Matthew McDonald was born in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, England in 1946. Although he was briefly a member of Fairport Convention, Matthews was primarily a solo musician on Vertigo Records. He formed the band Plainsong with Elektra Records in 1972 and fronted many other bands. One of these bands, Matthews' Southern Comfort, released an album, Kind of New, in 2010. Matthews currently resides in Amsterdam.
