Linda Lewis

Born on September 27, 1950 in West Ham, London, Linda Lewis was a prominent vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist.  Her five-octave range allowed for an impressive variety in her singing. Lewis' singles "Rock-a-Doodle-Doo" and "Sideway Shuffle" gave her instant success both in Britain and overseas.  Lewis has done background vocals for various musicians and singers, including David Bowie, Al Kooper, Cat Stevens, and Rod Stewart.
