He attended California Institute for the Arts and participated in the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program. In 1986, he was featured in a four person show at the Sonnabend Gallery in New York alongside Jeff Koons, Peter Halley and Meyer Vaisman, (known as the “Fantastic Four”) which launched the careers of the young artists. His works are held in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Tate, the Fondation Cartier pour l’Art Contemporain, the Stedelijk Museum, Berardo Collection Museum in Lisbon, Portugal, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. He currently resides in Bali.
