Warren de la Rue
The British astronomer and chemist, famous for his revolutionary work in astronomical photography, Warren De la Rue was born January 18, 1815 in Guernsey, UK. Educated in Paris, the scholar is famous for his pioneering work in the application of the art of photography to the field of astronomical research. He received many awards during his lifetime, including the Gold Medal of the Royal Astronomical Society in 1862 and the Royal Medal from the Royal Society in 1864. He passed away in 1889.
