She has received worldwide recognition for her role in the science fiction films, earning her three Academy Award nominations, three BAFTA nominations (with one win), two Emmy Awards, two Saturn Awards and six Golden Globe nominations. Her first role was a minor one in Woody Allen’s Annie Hall. She is currently an environmental activist and non-profit spokesperson.
