Brooke works primarily in video and photography. Her ongoing project, The Boy Mechanic documents the history of lesbian bars in locations across the United States and Europe. By cataloguing Kathy Acker’s wardrobe, she documents a fetishization of someone’s personal objects. This idea of fetishization can be observed throughout the exhibition.
