Rupprecht Geiger
Rupprecht Geiger was born in 1908 in Munich, Germany. He studied Architecture at the School of Applied Arts in Munich under Eduard Pfeiffer. He co-founded the artist’s group ZEN 49 in 1949. His first official contract in architectural art was the design of the façade of Munich’s Central Train Station in 1951. His first retrospective took place in 1978 at the Municipal Gallery in the Lenbachhaus, Munich. He died in 2009 at the age of 101.
