He studied composition and piano at Indiana University. He founded Art Serving Humanity (ASH), a charity Ensemble. He Son Lux’s debut performance was a headline alongside Sufjan Stevens and Emmylou Harris. He has opened for Sole at New York’s Knitting Factory. Ryan currently composes two pieces of music a day for Fluid NY, a thriving editorial house, has recently wrapped his third large-scale collaboration with the acclaimed Gina Gibney Dance company, and is working on the next Son Lux album.
