Motohiko Odani

Motohiko Odani is a contemporary Japanese sculptor who is best known for his whimsical phantom-like sculptures. Motohiko was born in Kyoto in 1972. He studied music and sculpture and received his Master's degree from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. Odani has held solo exhibitions including "Phantom Limb", Mori Art Museum (Tokyo, 2011), “SP4 ‘The Spectator’ in Modern Sculpture”, Yamamoto Gendai Gallery (Tokyo, 2009) and “En Melody”, Marella Arte Contemporanea (Milano, 2001), as well as group exhibitions such as “MI VIDA: From Heaven to Hell,” MUeCSARNOK (Budapest, 2009), and “Skin of/in Contemporary Art”, The National Museum of Art, (Osaka, 2007).
