Franz von Bayros
Franz von Bayros was an Austrian commercial artist, illustrator, and painter born in 1866. He belonged to the Decadent movement in art, often exploring erotic themes and phanstamagoric imagery. He was repeatedly expelled from European cities due to the sexual content of his work forcing him to relocate throughout Europe. He produced over 2000 works during his lifetime becoming best known for his controversial Tales at the Dressing Table portfolio. The artist died in Vienna in 1924.
