Tracey Emin

Tracey Emin was born in London in 1963, and studied at Maidstone College of Art and the Royal College of Art, London. An interest in the work of Edvard Munch and Egon Schiele inform Emin's work which explores complex personal states and ideas of self-representation through manifestly expressionist styles and themes. She has exhibited extensively in both group and solo exhibitions in Holland, Germany, Japan, Austrialia and America and had a major solo exhibition in May 2011 in London where she continues to work and live.
