Ngozi Family

Ngozi Family was started in 1975, lead by Paul Dobson Nyirongo (AKA Paul Ngozi) who was known for his spectacular stage antics, including playing the guitar with his teeth. Ngozi Family was the first band to have been called “Zamrock”. Ngozi Family was one of the most prolific bands in Zambia at that time and rocketed to stardom in a period that is hailed as the golden age of Zambian music. The band is also best remembered for witty and poignant lyrics that reflected the life and times of Zambians.
